Les miserables who is eponine

Michael Ball and Frances Ruffelle. Lea Salonga. Celia Keenan-Bolger. Kerry Butler. Deborah Gibson. Sarah Uriarte Berry. He joins up with a band of students with plans to revolt against the monarchy, but his revolutionary impulses waver when he spots the beautiful Cosette Amanda Seyfried in the streets one day and instantly falls in love with her.

The crazy thing is, she instantly falls for him too. But of course nothing is that easy. I always wanted to be Eponine. For some people who have very empty lives or who go through really hard times, sometimes the one thing that keeps them on their feet is a burning love or desire for somebody. And I think that is sort of the main theme of Eponine. You played Eponine for a year in London and then participated in the 25th Anniversary show.

When did your love of musicals begin? I grew up singing the whole of Les Mis. I grew up on a little island called the Isle of Man in the north of England. I never went to London my whole life.

I never saw a West End show. I just dreamed of London. My life was like a West End show. I had a little karaoke machine that my family bought me.

I remember just being so moved by it. It was an out of body experience. To put music to such a stunning novel has created something so magical. So to be part of it on such a huge scale is mindblowing. Frances Ruffelle originated the role of Eponine on stage in London and she has a cameo in the film as a prostitute. Had you met her before? And then we got to sing together again with the original cast.

I also sang with Lea Salonga, who was another famous Eponine who did the 10th Anniversary. How old is Cosette? Cosette is 16, and she's also usually played Mme T. Does Marius kiss Cosette? Months later, Marius finds out where she lives and leaves a love letter for her in her backyard garden.

Soon afterward, Cosette and Marius meet in person and share their first kiss and then naturally decide they want to be together forever. Is Les Mis closing in London?

The theatre, which opened in , will close for four months of rebuilding work both backstage and in the auditorium; many new lavatories will also be added to the front of house. Why is Valjean in Eponine heaven? With Fantine, she comes to take Valjean to heaven. Rather, Eponine comes with Fantine because they both represent self-sacrificial love. Marius arrives and discovers the house deserted. Wanting to die before Marius, she steps between him and the soldier and puts her hand on the front of the soldier's musket barrel, taking the fatal shot herself.

After this, she calls out to Marius and tells him she is dying. She asks him to lay her on his knees and he does so. She then confesses to Marius her role in sending him to the barricades, and why she took the shot for him.

She also decides to give him Cosette's letter, concerned that if she did not, he would hold the letter against her in the afterlife. Her final request to Marius is that after she dies, he kiss her forehead.

Marius kisses her, as he sympathizes with her for her hard life. In most productions of this adaptation, she is made to have a more romanticized, sympathetic, likeable and relatable presentation of her character and she is not as manipulative. In the novel, most of her beauty has been lost and she has a hoarse voice. In the musical, she is traditionally pretty and her voice is not hoarse, but she is still presented as ragged and poverty-stricken.

She and Marius are also portrayed as friends. Her child self remains unchanged, but she does not sing or speak onstage. Her disguise consists of a khaki colored trench coat and dirty khaki colored pants.
